VISWAS is a social organization working with the aim of the providing necessary assistance to the Victims of crimes, rights violation and abuse of Power and to assist victims to get compensation from the concerned authorities.
A thirteen Member Managing Committee was constituted under the leadership of Mr.D.Balamurali, lAS, District Collector, Palakkad. The Chief Patrons of the VISWAS are Hon'ble Mr. Justice Chettur Sankaran Nair, Mr.V.N.Rajan, IPS Former IG of Police and Dr.P.M Nair, IPS, Director General (NDRF).
The LOGO of VISWAS was released by His Excellency Sri. K.Sankaranarayan, Governor of Maharashtra. VISWAS was formally inaugurated by well known Social Worker Dr.Sunitha Krishnan.
3 types of membership are offered in VISWAS such as Ordinary Member, Life Member, and Institutional Member. Any person who is of sound mind, good character and good standing without a criminal background, who has attained the age of 24 years and Institutions who are willing to abide by the Constitution and who pays the membership fee and admission fee will be admitted as a member of VISWAS through the procedures mentioned in the Constitution.
